Mark Teixeira?

Will the Braves attempt to resign Mark Teixeira? I have heard that he will likely go to another team in the off season because the Braves will most likely not give him the salary he is looking for. But the question is why won't they? They should have plenty of money to spend on him now that Mike Hampton, Tom Glavine, and possibly John Smoltz will most likely be gone. That would free up a lot of money for the Braves which could be used to resign Teixeira. Just for an idea of how much money will be available from not having to pay those three Smoltz will make about 14 million this year Hampton makes almost 16 million this year, and Glavine makes 8 million. That is $38 million that the braves could use to resign Teixeira... they are crazy if they either dont resign Tex or dont get a lot in return because of the amount of prospects they gave up for him such as Jarrod Saltalamacchia, top pitching prospect Matt Harrison, and the 18 year old latin phenom Elvis Andrus.
