How do you eliminate odor in THE AIR after the cat uses the litter box?

After my cats poop, I immediately empty the entire litter bag and clean out the litter box and then add new litter. After doing this the litter box does not smell but I can't seem to get the odor out of the AIR. I have tried almost every air freshner and air neutralizer and even sprayed perfume out of desperation. The neutralizers claim to clear up the odor but they just mix with it and there is still that linging poop smell in the air. Any suggestions? (please don't say to get rid of my "3" cats.)
